Science Deliciousness

I spent a portion of last spring trying to find a unique, fun and educationally broad science curriculum and hit the jackpot with this:

Each Monday we watch a different science fiction film then spend the week studying one of a variety of corresponding scientific topics, ranging from biology and chemistry to earth science, ecology and physics.  The book includes discussion questions, vocabulary and suggested hands-on-activities.  Some we do as written and some we skip over entirely.  This week we made a revision to the suggested crystal-growing experiments...

...because peppermint rock candy is SO much yummier than the alternatives.  We'll keep you posted as our delicious crystals grow.
