Thank you to all who prayed for Kate during this rough transition. After a very long nap yesterday, she was already starting to interact with us. We brought out the stacking cups and they worked like a charm. They are by far the most valuable toy we packed. She even offered us some giggles while stacking the cups like blocks then knocking them over. They were a even a hit at bathtime.
This morning we went back to the Civil Affairs Office to finalize the adoption. Kate was very subdued for much of the time and it was pretty obvious that she was concerned about what awful thing would be next. This building didn't hold any good memories for her. But we are now offically Kathryn Yuyan Halford's family!

Kate looks like she is having a great time with the boys. I bet they are pretty proud of their new sister. Continued prayers as you move on in the process.

Glad Day 2 helped her blossom a little more. I suspect you'll be getting her full blown smile in a couple more days. She is just beautiful, especially with a family surrounding her.
